About Rainnea

Our business originally started in 1996 as "Rainnea Graphics" and our main focus was printing our colourful selection of Celtic & Pictish designs onto a variety of giftware such as T-shirts, mousemats, wallets and bags. We also had a small selection of our designs available in Pewter jewellery which we used to cast ourselves.
In 2004 we became Rainnea Ltd and we started specialising in making bespoke Sgian Dubhs in 2005 after our son was born.

Loch Ness Origins and Highland Wedding Rings are our trading names that are part of Rainnea Ltd. We also have a blog page "What's New at Rainnea Ltd", which we try and keep updated with some of the most recent commissions we have had the pleasure of creating.

Glen Urquhart is a beautiful location and we feel so fortunate that we both live and work here. The photos on this page are all taken in and around the farm. We have a small flock of sheep and we can be pretty busy with lambing in April!
We live and work on our small family farm in Glen Urquhart beside Loch Meiklie, about 5 miles from Loch Ness.
Many years ago the original Lochletter House once stood where our workshop is located.
The house was built by Patrick Grant in 1761 but was sadly destroyed by fire in the 1920's.
